Harrison Canning

Harrison Canning is an innovation strategist and science communicator who specializes in neurotechnology and brain-computer interfaces (BCI). He is the Marketing Lead and Neurotech Innovation Strategist at Blackrock Neurotech, a leading developer of implantable neural interfaces, and produces educational media through his YouTube channel and media company under the name, The BCI Guy. Harrison holds a B.A.A.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Rochester where he was the first person to major in neurotechnology studies. 

Harrison’s interest in bioethics and neurotechnology policy is motivated by a desire to protect patient interests, develop policies to safeguard against abuses in the collection and use of sensitive neural data and accelerate the development of safe and effective biomedical technologies through thoughtful regulatory and coverage reform.
