Alex Gask
Alex Gask is a barrister and an expert in human rights law. He currently provides legal advice to Parliament’s Joint Committee on Human Rights and the Select Committee on Home Affairs, on matters as varied as assisted dying, the right to protest and asylum policy. He is an Associate Member of Doughty Street Chambers, from where he practised human rights and public law for more than 10 years before taking up his role in Parliament. Prior to joining the Bar, Alex was a solicitor and legal officer at the human rights campaigning organisation Liberty, where he led on much of their test case litigation.
